
Dr. Warren is board certified in Dermatopathology and in Anatomic Pathology.
Dr. Warren obtained the degree of Doctor of Medicine in 1993 from Guy's and St. Thomas' Medical Schools (University of London, England).
He was a resident in Pathology at St. Luke's Medical Center (Milwaukee, WI) from 1995 to 1996. He completed his residency in Pathology in 1998 at the Medical College of Wisconsin (Milwaukee, WI). He was then a Research Fellow in Cutaneous Immunopathology for 2 years in the Department of Dermatology at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Warren did his fellowship in Dermatopathology at the Department of Dermatology, University of Texas Southwestern (Dallas, TX) from 2000 to 2001. Subsequently he was an Assistant Professor at UNC Chapel Hill from 2001 to 2005 in the Department of Dermatology where he ran the Dermatopathology and Cutaneous Immunofluorescence service as well as the Dermatopathology teaching program.
Dr. Warren's published research in the area of Pemphigus and Bullous Pemphigoid includes papers in the New England Journal of Medicine as well as papers and book chapters relating to Dermatopathology and Cutaneous Immunofluorescence. He has received teaching awards and research grants from NIH as a Co-Investigator, from UNC-Chapel Hill and the Dermatology Foundation.
